Contemporary Design For a Kitchen Upgrade

High ceilings and good bones are the hallmarks of a traditional New Orleans home which provided a perfect canvas for this renovation project. The client’s dream of a contemporary kitchen was brought to fruition with the use of high gloss, slab door Downsview cabinetry. The custom high gloss cabinets allow for the reflection of natural light throughout the kitchen. Keeping with the contemporary style, each of the cabinets features sleek brass handles and pulls. The use of linear congruence and geometric form was incorporated in the hood and island designs. The kitchen island also features additional cabinetry and a marble waterfall countertop. The contemporary look was further defined with the use of natural elements including the wood flooring, marble backsplash, integrated fridge, pantry, and stainless hardware.
