Downtown Contemporary Kitchen

This beautiful condo is located in the Central Business District of New Orleans. The young couple are interested in the arts and wanted a more contemporary style for their kitchen renovation. For this project, we used a mix of textures for the custom cabinetry, which included veneer styles for the island cabinets, and lacquer for the rest of the cabinetry. Typical for contemporary styles, we combined a mixture of clean, crisp lines, wood elements, and stainless steel. The custom built floating shelves accentuate the mirrored walls and feature lighting underneath. The mirror effect found on the walls, backsplash, and toe kicks help the space feel bigger and more open. We also used integrated hardware and included a built-in TV above the stainless steel refrigerator. To give the couple more storage, we custom built a pantry using Downsview Kitchen cabinetry. Some of the cabinets feature drawers to allow for easier access and even more storage.
