This turn-of-the-century cottage renovation takes advantage of heightened ceilings and an existing brick chimney stack to add flair and texture to the space. Soft blue Brookhaven cabinetry by Wood-Mode is offset by the crisp white subway tiled walls, with warm wood floating shelves in lieu of upper cabinets.

The heart of the home, the island, features a top of locally milled wood and was designed to seat the whole family as they gather together. The island also contains a space for their microwave, keeping the countertops nice and clean. Above the island are two glass pendant lights with gold accents to match the rest of the kitchen. Featuring a chimney-style hood and stainless appliances, this kitchen was designed to accommodate the owner’s love for baking, with a second oven neatly tucked in beside the brick.
