Portfolio Spotlight: New Orleans 2020 New Build of the Year

Classic Cupboards was proud to have a part in the New Orleans Home 2020 New Build of the Year.

This gorgeous new home has five bedrooms, five bathrooms, and two half bathrooms. The entire house features contemporary elements and has an overall clean and modern atmosphere.

Our client for this project was well attuned to all of the latest home design trends. Minimalist designs with bold focal points are found throughout the home.

Our contribution to this project starts in the kitchen. We designed custom black cabinets to continue the modern look found in the rest of the house. The cabinet doors have a full overlay and emphasize the simple rectangular shapes of contemporary design. For the hardware, we used long metal bars that seamlessly blend into the dark cabinet doors.

To balance the dramatic black cabinetry, the client chose a lighter color concrete floor and a marble stove hood. Additionally, metallic features in the lighting and seating add a stunning accent to the modern design.

In the dining area, we had the pleasure of creating a custom black china cabinet. As seen in the kitchen, we chose elongated metal hardware that blends in with the cabinet drawers. In the display area of the cabinet, we incorporated mirrored metallic doors with matching handles. This adds a level of sophistication and balance to the dark drawers below as well as keeping with the design of the kitchen.
